2011 Junior Golf Programs
Thank you for your interest in the Junior Golf Program at Western Lakes Golf Club.
The focus of this program is to provide quality golf instruction to juniors of varying ages and
skill levels. Safety and enjoyment of the great game of golf are emphasized
Highlights of this program include:

- Available to both boys & girls entering grades 1-9 (fall 2011)
- PGA Professional instruction
- Excellent practice & playing facilities
About the Staff...
Our Director of Instruction and Head Professional is Greg Johnson, a PGA member since
1982. Greg’s experience as a teacher is very extensive and includes working with many
junior golfers of various ages and abilities. Many of these students have developed into
successful high school (WIAA) golfers, and has had numerous students continue to
compete at the collegiate level.
Make-Up & Absence Policy...
The WLGC Junior Golf Program will be an seven week instructional program. A strong
attempt will be made to hold each session as scheduled. Classes will not be cancelled due
to inclement weather and will move indoors as necessary.
- Absence: Within your specific program if you must miss a scheduled lesson you can attend a group lesson which is scheduled on a different day or time (one time only)
- *If more than two (2) classes need to be made up, please see Greg Johnson for approval
Golf on the Western Lakes Golf Course...
All students in the Western Lakes Junior Golf Program may play golf on Saturday, and Sunday
evenings. This opportunity will begin on Saturday, July 2nd and be available thru Sunday,
August 28th. Tee times will be available beginning at 6:00pm and are highly recommended.
Junior golfers must be accompanied by an adult. The junior golfer green fee will be $6,
adult green fee will be $10, and the cart fee will be $6. Junior golfers may ride a golf
cart when driven by an adult, but are not allowed to drive motorized golf carts. Pace of
play will be established at a maximum average of 15 minutes per hole. Starters and marshals
will be available and provide assistance in achieving pace of play goals.
About the Practice Facilities...
One of the best overall driving range and practice facilities in Southeastern Wisconsin is the
setting of our golf program. The golf practice club features a large tee area, target greens, a
chipping green, bunker green, and large putting green, all sculptured with a series of
mounds and berms. Quality range balls are provided for the program.
